God is the only one whom can save you…
as an adoptee, & a generally confused person i have always looked for answers in my life. what if my parents had kept me, would i still have this void in my life, & so on. but what i have found in my years is that no matter what has happened in your life, no matter where you come from or whom you are, God is the only one whom can save you. God is the only one whom can take away your pain, He is the only one that can fill that void in your life. So many people go through life with the what if’s & why not’s but if you just give it up to God, He can heal you. I have no idea how, but you can just have a better outlook on life with God in your heart.
Even in my life where i feel that so many people “over use” God. Where every other word is Jesus this & God that, it’s not that i don’t believe because trust me i do, it’s just that i feel that we overuse God in these demeaning ways, when He is so much more. We pray that God will get us to work in time, or save us from a bad decision. God will only help those whom help themselves people! I mean really, we don’t have to saturate our lives with God to know that He is there & cares for us! I just think that a lot of people overuse, “God” & “prayer”. Not that i don’t believe but that i don’t think that God cares if the line in walmart is too long * you’ll be late for your nail appointment!!. can we just get back to God for whom He really is? Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, whom forgives your sins & loves you unconditionally. Not that guy we pray to when we are late or get in a jam.
I guess I just want people to know that I do love God & pray & have my faith but I also don’t think that believing in God takes away all personal resposibility in my life. & i don’t think that having God in my life means that i in any way need to be fake or overbearing in my faith. I am who I am & God loves me for that & only that, for my humility in saying God is the only God in my life & i am humbled before Him. Not because I feel the need to mention His name every other word or quote scripture in the Starbucks line.
